NVQ Level 2 Coaching, Teaching & Instructing Football

 

Qualification and Level:

1st4Sport NVQ Level 2

This course will give you an insight into the process of coaching football to both adults and children. It is suitable for those that posses their F.A. Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football, however it is not essential.

On This Specialised Programme You Will:

·     Be supported throughout the programme by qualified and experienced tutors and assessors

·     Improve your knowledge and level of expertise in football coaching

·     Gain an official recognised football qualification

·     Benefit from a study pack to be used as a permanent reference

·     Get more from the game and give more back.

The Course Is Made Up Of 6 Core Units. These Are:

·     Plan and prepare a series of coaching sessions

·     Maintain an environment in which participants can improve their performance

·     Coach participants to improve their performance

·     Evaluate coaching sessions and develop personal coaching practice

·     Dealing with accidents and emergencies

·     Support the protection of children.

Duration Of The Course and How It Is Delivered:

·     One evening every fortnight (dependant on the individual) covering coaching theory and practical coaching sessions

·     Evidence gathering through a portfolio and work-based experience

·     Completion of course within 3-6 months dependant on the individual.

Assessment Of The Course:

·     All units are observed by an assessor while you undertake practical work

·     Some of the work will also be covered though stimulated tasks, written work and verbal questioning.

Progression Upon Completion:

F.A. Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Football (UEFA 'B' LICENCE)


1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football (F.A.)

If you are over 16 and interested in taking your first step into football coaching, then this is the course for you. You may be a coach of a team or a parent who would like the knowledge to be able to coach your child.

As an approved centre, we deliver the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Football Coaching (F.A.). This is the most popular coaching course in the UK and is the ideal introduction to coaching for all coaches with little experience or knowledge. The course is open entry and participants do not need any experience to take part, just an interest in coaching and the motivation to improve their skills and understanding.

Assessment:

The assessment for this course will include: Candidates must deliver a 20minutes session age appropriate against a given topic demonstrating the following:

· Safe Practice Organisation Enjoyment and fun With progression Oral Interview

· Reassessment - N/A Refresher - N/A

Leading To:

1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (F.A.)


Introduction to Futsal Course (The FA)

Course Objectives:

On completion of the course the candidate should be able to:

· Understand and appreciate the fundamentals of Futsal

· Organise and coach the basic skills and techniques of Futsal

· Understand the basic principles of attack and defence of Futsal

· Appreciate the ‘Laws of the Game’ of Futsal

· Have an appreciation of the fitness demands of Futsal

Assessment:

· Successful completion of the Course Assessment Examination Paper (multiple choice)

· Successful completion of the FA Emergency First Aid module or equivalent

· Successful completion of the FA Safeguarding Children in Football module
